Motivasi merupakan respon pegawai terhadap sejumlah pernyataan mengenai keseluruhan usaha yang timbul dari dalam diri pegawai agar tumbuh dorongan untuk bekerja dan tujuan yang dikehendaki oleh pegawai tercapai. Hubungan motivasi dan disiplin kerja yang baik dan tepat tergantung dari jarak lokasi yang akan menimbulkan kinerja yang baik dalam berkerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Lokasi (Y) Kantor Pemprov Kalimantan Selatan terhadap Motivasi (Y₁) dan Disiplin Kerja (Y₂₎.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif.Sampel penelitian ini ditetapkan sebanyak 94 orang aparat Pemprov Kalimantan Selatan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan derajat kepercayaan 95%.

Penelitian ini menggunakan analsisi regresi linier sederhana dengan hasil penelitian Lokasi (X) terhadap Motivasi (Y₁) Aparat Pemprov yang berdomisili di Kota Banjarmasin dengan besar pengaruh 78.3% dan Lokasi (X) terhadap Disiplin Kerja (Y₂) Aparat Pemprov yang berdomisili di Kota Banjarmasin dengan besar pengaruh 78.9%, sedangkan variabel dominan yang di pengaruhi Lokasi pada penelitian ini adalah variabel Motivasi (Y₂) karena nilai koefisien regresinya sebesar 0.825 ke arah positif.

Motivation is the employee's response to a number of statements regarding the overall effort that arises from within the employee so that the drive to work grows and the goals desired by the employee are achieved. Relationship between motivation and work discipline is good and right depending on the distance of location which will lead to good performance in work. This study aims to test the influence oflocation (Y) South Kalimantan Provincial Government Office on Motivation (Y₁) and Work Discipline (Y₂).

This study uses a quantitative approach. The research sample was determined by 94 South Kalimantan Provincial Government officials. Data collection uses questionnaires, while data analysis uses multiple linear regression with 95% confidence level.

This study uses analsisi simple linear regression with the results of Location (X) of the Motivation (Y1) Apparatus administration domiciled in municipalities and Banjarmasin with great influence 78.3% and the Location (X) of the Work Discipline (Y 2) Apparatus administration domiciled in Kota Banjarmasin with a large influence of 78.9%, while the dominant variable influenced by the location in this study is the Motivation variable (Y 2 ) because the regression coefficient value is 0.825 in the positive direction.
