This study title Level of Community Preparedness on Flood Disaster In BatiBati Sub-District, Tanah Laut District aims to determine the level of community
preparedness to flood disaster in Bati-Bati Sub-district, Tanah Laut Regency through
five indicators of preparedness, knowledge and attitude toward disaster, policy and
guidance, emergency response plan, early warning system and resource mobilization
capability in facing flood disaster .
The population in this study were 2,137 heads of families affected by floods, a
sample of 327 heads of households determined based on the Krejcie and Morgan
formulas. This study uses quantitative descriptive method, respondents selection by
random sampling, data collection using questionnaires and direct interviews to
respondents. Data analysis techniques characteristic of society using technique
percentage, classification of level of preparedness using Guttman formula
The results showed that 49.23% of Bati-Bati sub-district are in medium-level
preparedness condition. Flood disasters that occur almost every year to make people
accustomed and ready if the rainy season.
