This research aims to find out if there is difference on students’ achievement in reading comprehension through the use of Interactive Multimedia “Adobe Flash CC 2015” at the eighth-grade students of SMP AL MAZAYA Banjarmasin. This research used a quasi-experimental design with cluster sampling technique. The sample of this research was 22 students. The experimental group was 8-2 which was taught by using Interactive Multimedia “Adobe Flash CC 2015” in three meetings, while the control group was 8-1 which was taught without using slide show in three meetings. The data were gathered through documentation, observation, and tests.

The result showed that both groups gained improvement on their achievement. From the calculation result, the experimental group got the average score 65.18 in pre-test and 82.27 in post-test. The control group got average score 65.00 in pre-test and 73.73 in post-test. Based on the calculation using t-test, the calculated t value was higher than the t-table (4.943 > 2.015) at the significance level 0.05. Therefore, there was significant different achievement between the experimental group and the control group.

Finally, it is suggested to teachers to use interactive multimedia as the media of teaching reading comprehension and it is suggested that English teachers conduct various classroom activities, use various technique and design an ideal classroom management.
