Media are important in supporting the teaching and learning process. There are some media that can be used. One of them is video. TED Application is a source that is used by the English Language Education Study Program lecturers in teaching Speaking especially in Advanced Speaking class. In this research, the writer is curious about students’ perception of  TED Application in Speaking class. Students may have different perception in learning that underlie the practice of using TED Application. Therefore, the research intended to analyse the students’ perception about the use of TED Application in Speaking class. The students became the main focus of thisresearch.

The research questions in this research: How are the students’ perceptions on the use TED Application for  Advanced Speaking Class at English Education Department of Lambung Mangkurat University?

Participants were thirty three students of Advanced Speaking Class at English Education Department of Lambung Mangkurat University in Banjarmasin in the academic year 2019/2020. In this research used descriptive quantitative research methods. In answering the research questions, the researcher used likert scale questionnaire to collect quantitativedata.

The findings of this research showed that most of them have positive perception toward MALL (Mobile Assisted Language Learning) applications, especially TED Application,and second, there are several students who have started to use other MALL applications after they tried TED Application because they thought MALL applications made them easier to understand material related to their study. The researcher concluded that that students have positive perception towards MALL applications, especially TED application since they thought MALL application benefitted for learning English, especially speaking skill.
