ABSTRA CT

Rahayu street Sungai Paring (intersection 4 Rahayu) is one of the intersections in Banjarbaru, where from year to year the number of vehicles passing through this intersection is increasing and with the type of environment of the intersection road. Rahayu is a commercial area, residential areas, access to the IT Qardhan Hasanah  school, and the Qardhan Hasanah Mosque which is a trigger for conflict at the intersection, so it is necessary to analyze the existing conditions and predict when the intersection does not meet the requirements of the intersection performance indicators. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of the intersection, when the intersection does not meet the requirements anymore and the solution to the problem of the 4 Rahayu intersection. The data used in this study are geometric condition data and traffic flow data for 15 hours on July 14, 2020. This analysis uses a method that refers to the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual 1997 (MKJI 1997) and calculations using the software KAJI. From the research, it was found that the peak hours were 17.10-18.10. With the results of the existing conditions DS = 0.59, D = 6.02 sec / smp, QP = 23% with the service level B which shows that it still meets the requirements. Then do forecastingand get a prediction of 10 years of intersection does not meet the requirements with DS = 0.78, D = 8.77 sec / pcu, QP = 37%> 35%. An alternative is made to fix the problem, namely by changing the geometric width of the road and extending the median along the major road, the results of the analysis of DS = 0.54, D = 5.5 sec / pcu, QP = 20% with service level B and showing the intersection conditions have met the requirements.
