Soil erosion in agricultural land causes the loss of organic matter or soil nutrients, because in
general nutrients are found in the upper layer of the soil. The factors that affect the occurrence of
erosion are climate, topography, vegetation, soil and humans. The purpose of this research is to
determine the effect of erosion on the fertility and productivity of oil palm on PTPN XIII Pelaihari
land that has a different slope. The research method used is descriptive explorative. Sampling with
purposive sampling technique, dividing the land into three parts based on the slope of P1 (0-3%),
P2 (3-8%) and P3 (8-15%) and palm oil productivity on each land. Calculation of erosion prediction
using USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) method. The results of erosion calculation and fertility
status analysis at each slope level are matched with the results of palm oil productivity to determine
the effect of erosion on fertility and palm oil productivity. The results showed the lowest erosion on
land P1 2.05 ton.ha
-1.tahun-1 and the highest on land P3 38.47 ton.ha-1.tahun-1. Based on the results
of fertility analysis shows that P1 land is higher in nutrients when compared to P3 and the largest
palm oil productivity results are found in P1 land 16.27 ton.ha
-1.tahun-1 and the lowest on P3 land
7.34 ton.ha
-1.tahun-1. Based on these results, the amount of erosion in the research land has an effect
on productivity results due to decreased soil fertility due to the magnitude of erosion.
