ABSTRACT

 

            The Biawan-2 river bridge is located in the Biawan Estate PT Lifere Agro Kapuas oil palm plantation, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan. The construction of a bridge at the location of the Biawan-2 river is intended to support the distribution of crude palm oil, an easy and fast process of distributing palm oil is needed, especially when the big harvest arrives, which causes much more harvest and the frequency of transportation also increases. The available route alternatives are relatively further and twisted so that a composite girder type bridge is planned.

The methodology used in the design of loading refer to SNI 1725-2016 concerning Loading Standards for Bridges while in calculating earthquake loads refers to SNI 2833-2016 concerning Earthquake Resistance Planning Standards for Bridges. The calculation for bearing capacity of the lower structure uses the Meyerhof method while the Broms method for lateral bearing capacity.

The composite girder bridge was designed with a span of 30 m and a width of 7 m. Floor slabs are designed with a thickness of 30 cm using concrete FC ‘30 MPa (K-350). The longitudinal girder of the bridge uses a WF profile 1100.500.20.30 while the transverse girder profile 2L 90.90.7 with steel grade BJ 55 (410 MPa). As for the substructure, the abutment design with a length of 950 cm, a width of 350 cm, and a pile height of 438 cm using the FC '25 MPa (K-300) concrete quality. The foundation structure uses a 500 mm Spun Pile with a quality of 52 MPa (K-600) using a configuration of 10 piles for each abutment. For the oprit stability of the bridge, model results by software obtain the final SF = 2.66. Due to the large embankment load, the oprit on this bridge uses Box Culvert with Mini Pile reinforcement. Estimated Budget Plan for building the Biawan-2 river bridge is IDR 13.114.922.000,-.
