ABSTRAK

This research of aims to examine the influence of the Implementation of Discovery Learning Learning Model by the Teacher in Improving Geography Learning Outcomes of Students of SMA Negeri 8 Banjarmasin. This research method is qualitative descriptive. The instrument used was an interview. The data processing used are source trigulation and time trigulation. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively by data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the research learning model discovery learning have an effect on increasing competence and are able to train students to build knowledge independently which can foster student creativity in inductive learning. In addition, the application of discovery learning models trains students to think critically and creatively.
