Several techniques for measuring sugar levels today still have limitations because they require a long time in the testing process, are operator-dependent, and require dangerous reagents. This study aimed to make a measuring device for sugar levels in sugar solution using the YL-69 sensor based on the ATMega 16A-PU microcontroller. The measuring device can measure the sugar content in a sugar solution of at least 0% and a maximum of 28% by displaying LCD and personal computer and can be recorded automatically. The characterization sensor YL-69 with brix refractometer obtained sugar content the measurement ranges from 0,6% to 28,2%. The results of the calibration of the tool with the brix refractometer are from point 1 to point 10, the range of the difference in sugar content measurement is 0,09% to 0,42%, and the standard deviation ranges from 0,13 to 0,91.
