Greenhouse gases are gases that can trigger an increase in surface heat earth ( global warming ) which causes the greenhouse effect. Global warming ( global warming ) caused by the accumulation of greenhouse gases (GHGs), which have a major contribution to global warming is methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), and nitrous oxide gas (N2O). This study aims to determine: (1) Calculating the level and GHG emission status from lowland rice cultivation in Gambut District, Sungai Tabuk District and Aluh-Aluh District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. (2) Determine the dominant factor of lowland rice management system, which includes irrigation systems, fertilization, and selection of varieties rice in the three sub-districts that contribute to GHG emissions. The results of the study show that, the largest GHG emissions are between Sungai Tabuk Sub-districts, Gambut Sub-Districts and Subdistrict Aluh-Aluh in Banjar district comes from emissions of CH4from rice cultivation, namely amounting to 22.303,6 tonnes of CH4/year or 468.375,6 tons of CO2eq/year of total emissions of 478,146.6 tons of CO2eq / year.
