Abstract. Research has been conducted on the effect of the application of a collaborative learning model of the Pogil type (process-oriented guided inquiry learning) on ??cognitive learning outcomes and social skills of students in class X Man 1 Pulang Pisau hidrokarbon hydrocarbon material in the 2017/2018 academic year. This study aims to determine ; (1) differences in learning outcomes of students' cognitive and social skills, (2) the effect of the application of the pogil type collaborative model. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were students of X Science 3 as the experimental class and X Science 2 as the control class. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that (1) the pre-test cognitive learning outcomes found that tcount 0.4615 < ttable 2 with an average value of 24, while the post-test cognitive learning outcomes found that tcount 4.6610 > ttable 2 with an average value the average is 83, the results of the increase test (gain) can be seen that the percentage of the experimental class is 0.62 and the control class is 0.52. The affective learning outcomes of the control class with an average value of 64.8 while the experimental class with an average value of 86.3 (2) the POGIL learning model has an average result of 86.3% which is categorized as very attractive, while the conventional model has an average In average 64.8%, learning with the Pogil type collaborative learning model is very appropriate to be used for hydrocarbon learning seen from the high learning outcomes obtained evenly.
