The study was conducted discovering empirical evidence regarding English Summative Test made by the professional team encompassed of 40 multiple choice test items which was implemented during the odd semester of the eleventh-grade at SMKN 2 Banjarmasin. The analyst utilized qualitative approach by amassing the crucial data through asking the summative test along with syllabus implemented at the chosen school then analyzed the test items for checking their validity degree. Therefore, this study is categorized as a descriptive study due to the needs of describing the both compatibility and incompatibility of the analyzed summative test along with the syllabus as well as list of the topics.

The analysis has proven that the English summative test items for the odd semester of eleventh grade of SMKN 2 Banjarmasin possesses adequate validity. For the content validity aspect, 37 items are valid while the rest are found to be incompatible. Next, for the face validity aspect, 33 items are proven to be compatible with the tested topics while 7 items are deemed mismatched. Finally, regarding construct validity 37 of them are well-suited while the rest are incompatible. Thus, even though the summative test is encompassing all validity requirements, it is still deemed to possess adequate validity. Hence, it still can be implemented.

Based upon the discovery, it can be proposed that the teacher or the test maker to deepen their degree of comprehension on test validity criterion when composing an English summative test or the according to the syllabus. Moreover, the school is also advised to hold a training regarding this issue, so that the teachers could be capable of constructing a decent and representative test.
