This study was aimed to identify interferences in English pronunciation, and to analyze the cause of the interferences in English pronunciation by English Language Education Study Program students of Lambung Mangkurat University batch 2020. This research was classified as a descriptive study that examined the phenomenon of interference at the phonological level. The subjects of this study were the students of the English Language Education Study Program of Lambung Mangkurat University batch 2020 who spoke Banjar as their mother tongue. The instrument used in this study was an oral test. To analyze the interferences phenomenon, this study used a generativephonological approach. After conducting this study, it was found that the Banjar Hulu language did interfere with the English pronunciation. Especially, it occurred in Vowel, Consonant, and diphthong. Based on the result above, English Language Education Study Program of Lambung Mangkurat University batch2020, must be more deeply into the use of Vowel, Consonant, and Diphthong in English, as a prospective English teachers must understand and study correctly on how to pronounce in English, thus, in the future people who do not get used to use English as a daily language can say words and sentences in English correctly. For further researchers, after conducting this research, it would be much better to find a suitable and correct learning methods for those who use the Banjar language as their mother tongue or everyday language in using English, therefore, in the future the influence of regional languages will not be a major problem in pronunciation.
