Generally, the translation of foreign acronyms is not very difficult in comparison with the difficulties found in the translation of other types of lexicon. The difficulties found in translating acronyms lie not so much in their content, in obtaining a monosemantic value for their constitutive lexerries, as in deciding in each case whether an acronym is translated or not and which form it would have.Since there are no related study about problems in translating English acronyms into Indonesian in English Language Education Program Study of Lambung Mangkurat University, the researcher aimed to find out students’ problems in translating English acronyms to Indonesia at English Language Education Study Program of Lambung Mangkurat University.

The researcher used descriptive qualitative approach for this research. The sample of this research was47English Language Education Study Program students. To obtain the data, researcher used questionnaire and interview. The samples were given questionnaire and being interviewed. From the data obtained, researcher classified the problems based on the questionnaire.

There were 63% students who have problems for their Indonesian proficiency and 69% students who have problems for their Indonesian vocabularies.
