ABSTRACT

 

EVALUATION ON DRUG THERAPY MONITORING, HOME PHARMACY CARE, AND ADVERSE DRUG REACTION MONITORINGTO PHARMACIES IN BANJARBARU BASED ON PHARMACY SERVICE STANDARDS (By : Linda Astuty; Supervisor: Nani Kartinah, Herningtyas Nautika Lingga; 2022; 39 Pages)

 

 

Pharmaceutical service is a direct and responsible service providedby pharmacists to patients related to pharmaceutical preparations to improve patients’ quality of life. This study examined and described some of pharmaceutical services; Drug Therapy Monitoring, Home Pharmacy Careand Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring provided by pharmacies Banjarbaru City. In this study, pharmacists' perceptions of the factors influencing the implementation  of those services were also explained. This non-experimental study was performed using a descriptive research design. Questionnaires were distributed to 61 pharmacists working in pharmacies in Banjarbaru City through Google Form. There were 61 pharmacists in Banjarbaru who with STRA and SIPA certifications participated as respondents to represent pharmacists population in the city. Data showed that there were six male respondents 9.83% and 55 female respondents 90.16%. 57.38% of the respondents aged 26-30 years with an average working period less than 3 years 60.65%. All respondents possessed SIPA (Practice License) and STRA (Pharmacist Registration Certificate). There were 20 respondents worked other jobs outside pharmacy sector 32.79% and the average working hours of respondents was longer than 5 hours per day. PTO had been implemented in Banjarbaru city 57.38%, home pharmacy care 24.59% and MESO 37.31%. Respondents pointed out some factors that they perceived having influence on PTO, home pharmacy care, and MESO implementations, including; time constraints 91.80%, information systems and supporting technology 91.48%, pharmacists’ professional knowledge and skills95.74 %, pharmacists’ job outside the pharmacy sector 62.62%, limited resources pharmacist and TTK 80.66%, pharmacists’ self-esteem 91.48%, limited time in performing pharmacy services at the pharmacy 80.00%.
