The Bati-Bati Subdistrict, Tanah Laut Regency in South Kalimantan Province is an area that has many industrial factories, including Indofood, Nusa Board, Drinking Water, Textiles, and so on.  This study aims to determine the social impact of industrial development and to determine the economic impact of industrial development in Liang Anggang Village, Bati-Bati District, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan.  The type of research used by the author in the preparation of this research is qualitative.  The existence of an industrial factory in Liang Anggang Village has a relationship with social and economic changes in the community, especially the community around the industrial factory.  Industrial factories are predicted to cause changes in the social and economic structures that exist in society.  Social changes that arise are a result that occurs due to unplanned or out-of-target activities.  Most people are absorbed by industrial factories causing people's work patterns to change, but the solidarity that exists in every community does not change.  Changes in the community's economy, namely: changes in people's livelihoods from the agricultural sector to the industrial sector, high absorption of labor as employees, fixed and definite incomes and pensions.
