Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the staple foods of the Indonesian people. Until now, various efforts have been made to increase the productivity of rice plants, including the implementation of the green revolution, but the use of chemical fertilizers (inorganic) and pesticides on a large and uncontrolled scale has reduced the level of land fertility and caused environmental pollution and explosions (attacks) of plant pests and diseases. uncontrollable. So the application of organic farming is considered quite successful as an alternative form of environmentally friendly agriculture, ensuring sustainability, and can support multifunctional agriculture, reduce negative externalities generated by conventional farming, and be able to provide opportunities for increasing new income.

This study aims to determine the effect of giving fish amino acid on vegetative growth, yield and yield weight of rice plants and to determine the best concentration of fish amino acid that provides vegetative growth, yield and weight of rice yields using the SRI (System of Rice Intrnsification) method.

This research was carried out from December 2019 to April 2020 in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru. The method used in this study was a completely randomized design with five treatments and five replications for a total of 25 experimental units.

The results of this study concluded that the administration of several doses of fish amino acid (FAA) had no effect on the number of tillers, leaf color class, number of productive tillers and weight per 100 seeds but did affect the growth of plant height and weight of rice grains and the best treatment was giving fish amino acid ( FAA) on rice plant height was found in the F3 treatment (5 ml/L fish amino acid) which gave the highest average and in the observation of grain weight the best treatment was in the F1 treatment (1 ml/L fish amino acid).
