Tofu liquid waste is a source that cause water pollution because it contains high organic matter in the form of protein, carbohydrates and fat, which if directly disposed of without processing, will pollute the environment. In this study water lily was used as a raw material in the manufacture of activated charcoal because it contains quite high organic C. Activated charcoal is a porous solid that acts as an adsorbent for organic matter in tofu liquid waste. This study consisted of 3 treatment doses, namely A1 = 1 g.100 ml^-1, A2 = 1.5 g. 100 ml^-1, A3= 2 g.100 ml^-1 which was analyzed by descriptive methodand then compared with Minister of Environment Regulation No. 5 of 2014 concerning the quality standard of tofu liquid waste and the Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017 concerning environmental health quality standards. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the quality of tofu liquid waste so that it meets the LH Regulation (2014), namely the TSS, pH and ammonia parameters. Meanwhile, according to Minister of Health Regulation (2017), the parameter that meets is temperature. Some parameters that do not meet the above standards are BOD, COD, TDS, turbidity and color dose of water lily activated charcoal to improve the quality of tofu liquid waste as a tofu liquid waste biofilter is in treatment A3 = 2 g.100 ml^-1.
