Exploration is a field investigation to collect data and information. One of them is drill log data that can be used to calculate the amount of coal resources.TCoal resources will become coal reserves if at the time of consideration it is declared feasible to be mined so that resource and reserve considerations are needed. This activity of estimating coal resources is located at PT Energi Batubara Lestari with the aim of knowing the distribution area and number of existing coal seams. The method used is the cross-section method The resource calculation is done with the help of Minescape 5.7 software with the cross section selection method. The use of cross-sectional distances has three variations, namely a cross-sectional area of ??50 m, a cross-sectional area of ??75 m, and a cross-sectional area of ??100 m where it is hoped that more detailed results related to the number of resources in the research area are expected. From the results of the modeling the coal seam is made into three coal layers, namely layer A, layer B and layer C, with sub layers BU (B Upper) and BL (B Lower). And the direction of distribution is northeast-southwest with a strike N 20? E with an average layer dip of 18?-25?.
