Kang kong (Ipomea reptans Poir) is one of the horticultural plants that are very popular with the people of Indonesia because of its savory taste. This plant belongs to the group of seasonal and short-lived plants and does not require a large area to cultivate it so that it is possible to cultivate it in cities where land is generally limited. This plant originated in India but later spread to various countries in Asia and Africa. In addition to its delicious taste, the nutrients found in kale are quite high, such as vitamins A, B and C as well as various minerals, especially iron, which are useful for body growth and health. Cow manure is very good to use in the cultivation of land kale because cow manure can not only meet the nutrient needs, it can also improve the physical properties of the soil which will facilitate the development of roots of land kale plants so that the yield of water spinach plants will be greater. Insect diversity is one form of biological wealth in Indonesia which is estimated to reach hundreds of thousands of insect species, but not all types of insects are known, including new types of insects. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of insects in land spinach plants that were given the application of cow manure and to determine the dose of cow manure that could support the diversity of insects in land kale plants. This research was carried out at the Agroecotechnology Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru from September 2020 to October 2020. This study was conducted using a single factor randomized block design (RAK) using 5 treatments. Each treatment consisted of 4 replications so that the total number was 20 experimental units. The results of this study showed that the application of cow manure on land kale showed low to moderate diversity, low levels of dominance and insect richness and showed high evenness. The P2 treatment (1 kg / plot of experimental land size 1 x1 m) showed a moderate level of diversity, so it can be recommended in the use of cow manure, especially land kale.
