Abstract: Background: Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) is a joint disorder that includes the hard and soft tissues of the orofacial part. Musculoskeletal problems TMD disorders are experienced by brass players and violinists, especially include extracapsular or intracapsular problems TMD. Aim: Determine the difference in the risk of temporomandibular joint disorders in brass player and violinist. Methods: The study was conducted by the Literature Review method with evidence based-review procedure using Google Scholar, Embase, Pub med, Cochrane Library, and Semantic Scholar as sources. The source criteria under study are English, Q1, Q2 and Q3 language articles through SJR SCIMAGO (SCIMAGO Journal & Country Rank) ranking. The article that has been obtained is continued to the screening stage that is adjusted to the inclusion criteria, then the data obtained is analyzed and interpreted. Results: The results of manifestation brass players are 15.4 -18.9% TMD sounds, 2.5-2.85% limited jaw opening or closing, 15.4-28.9% TMD pain. Meanwhile, violinists have 16.6-92% mandibular deviation, 22.5-91.5% TMD sounds, 12.9-87% limited jaw opening or closing, 19.2-75.5% TMD pain, and by 26.8-58% parafunctional habits. Conclusion: The source of problems in brass players are masseter muscles and temporal muscles, while in violinists are all extracapsular and intracapsular muscles
