ABSTRACT

Wahyudi, Ramadhan. 2022. Efforts to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Simple Fractions Using a Combination of Group Investigation, Problem Based Learning and Make A Match Learning Models in Grade 3 SDN Melayu 11 Thesis for Elementary School Teacher Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Lambung Mangkurat University. Supervisor Dr. Hj. Susilawaty, M. Pd.

Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Group Investigation, Make A Match and Problem Based Learning

The problems that occur in this learning are the low learning outcomes of students, especially in learning mathematics on simple fractions and the students are less active at the time of learning. The cause is learning that does not vary and the lack of students' ability to think logically. This study aims to describe the quality of teacher activities, student activities and to improve student learning outcomes in learning mathematics with simple fractions using the Group Investigation, Problem Based Learning and Make A Match models.

This study uses a qualitative research approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was carried out in 3 meetings. The research subjects were 3rd grade students of SDN Melayu 11 with a total of 20 students. The types of data in this study are qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data obtained through observations of teacher and student activities. Quantitative data obtained through student learning outcomes

The results of this study indicate that the teacher's activities at meeting 1 reached good criteria, meeting 2 reached very good criteria, and meeting 3 achieved very good criteria. Student activities at meeting 1 reached the criteria of being less active, at the second meeting the criteria of being active, and at meeting 3 reaching the criteria of being very active. Completeness of student learning outcomes increases with 100% completeness

Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the combination of Model Group Investigation, Problem Based Learning and Make A Match can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning with simple fractions. As for suggestions for teachers, principals, and other researchers to be able to use the results of this study as an input in carrying out guidance to teachers, and alternatives in choosing innovative learning models as well as being one of the references in developing further research, especially simple fraction material.
