Soybean is one of the food crop commodities that playan important role in Indonesia, include edamame (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) The chemical and physical properties of peat are important to know, especially tocultivate edamame. The application of organic fertilizerssuch us palm oil sludge compost into the soil canfertilize the soil because it improves physical, chemicaland biological properties. In palm oil mill, sludge isresidue of oil manufacturing waste. Sludge also known as solid, which has not been used optimally. Ther fore,this study conducted to determine. The sludge purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variousdecomposers of palm oil compost on the growth and yield of edamame on peat soil. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 treatments with 5 replications at dose 20 ton. Ha-1 sothat there were 20 experimental units.

The treatment were P0 (control) = Solid palm oilcompost 20 tons.ha-1, P1 = Solid palm oil compost with 20 ton.ha-1, EM4 decomposer.ha-1, P2 = Palm solid compost with 20 tons M21 decomposer.ha-1, P3 =Compost solid palm oil with Tangguh decomposers asmuch as 20 tons.ha-1. The result of this study, solid palm oil compost is very influential on the growth and yieldof edamame. Based on the research conducted, it can beconcluded that the provision of solid palm oil compostwith decomposers affects the growth of edamame plantincluding plant height, number of leaves, floweremergence and edamame plant yields including wetweight, dry weight, number of pods and pod weight.
