ABSTRAK

Film adalah media komunikasi yang bersifat audio visual untuk menyampaikan suatupesankepadasekelompokorangyangberkumpuldisuatutempat.Filmjugadianggap sebagai media komunikasi yang ampuh terhadap massa yang menjadi sasaran nya, apalagi selama pandemi banyak yang menganjurkan untuk menonton film. Film Kingdom : Ashin oftheNorthadalahfilmkolosalyangbergenrethilleryangmerupakanepisodeprekueldan spinoffdariserialkorea,Kingdomseason2.FilminiberceritatentangAshinyangbertekat untuk balas dendam terhadap pihak yang menghancurkan desanya(Seonjeoyain).
Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis semiotika dari Roland Barthes yang terdiri dari makna denotasi, konotasi serta mitos. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan tipe deskriptif. Informan penelitian terdiri dari informan kunci yaitu 3 informan yang telah menonton film dan informan pendukung salah satu anggota Sineas Benua. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi.
Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa dari 87 scene terdapat 10 pesan moral dalam film Kingdom : Ashin of the North. Penulis tertarik untuk meneliti pesan moral dalam filmKingdom:AshinoftheNorthsebagaiobjekpenelitiankarenapesanmoralyang terkait dengan moral dalam budaya Joseon seperti ajaran Buddha, dan Konfusianisme. Pada hasil kesimpulan pesan moral dalam film Kingdom : Ashin of theNorthyaitupesanmoralmengenaiKekecewaan,ketamakanpenyesalan,kebencian, rasa dendam, danpenderitaan.

Film is an audio-visual communication medium to convey messages to a group of people gathered in one place. Films are also considered as a powerful medium of communication to the masses who are the target, especially during the pandemic, many people watch to watch movies. The film Kingdom: Ashin of the North is a colossal thriller genrefilmwhichisaprequelandspinoffepisodeoftheKoreanseries,Kingdomseason2. This film tells the story of Ashin who is determined to take revenge against those who destroyed his village(Seonjeoyain).
This research uses semiotic analysis from Roland Barthes whichconsistsof denotation, connotation and myth meaning. The method used in this study isaqualitative methodwithadescriptivetype.Theresearchinformantsconsistedofkeyinformants, namely 3 informants who had watched the film and a supporting informant for oneofthe membersofSineasBenua.Datacollectiontechniquesusinginterviewsanddocumentation.
The results of the study found that from 87 scenes there were 10 moral messages in the film Kingdom: Ashin of the North. The author is interested in examining the moral message in the film Kingdom: Ashin of the North as the object of research because the moralmessageisrelatedtomoralsinJoseonculturesuchasBuddhismandConfucianism. In conclusion, the moral message in the film Kingdom: Ashin of the North is a moral message about disappointment, greed, regret, hatred, revenge, andsuffering.
