Pembentukan karakter sopan santun untuk anak sedini mungkin sangat penting demi kokohnya pondasi awal pada karakter anak, membentuk kebiasaan baik anak sejak dini, menghindari pribadi anak yang bermasalah dikemudian hari, dan menjadikan anak berkepribadian yang ramah, beradab serta pandai menyesuaikan diri. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) model pendidikan karakter sopan santun, (2) implementasi pendidikan karakter sopan santun, (3) strategi pendidikan karakter sopan santun, (4) karakter-karakter sopan santun yang dikembangkan di lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini.

Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan multi situs, teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara  observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data penelitian terdiri dari Kepala TK/PAUD, Pendidik dan Orang tua anak. Lokasi penelitian di TK Aisyiyah 1 Kandangan dan PAUD Terpadu Negeri Pembina Juai Balangan. Data yang terkumpul diperiksa dan dilakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta verifikasi data. Pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan kredebilitas, transferabilitas, dependabilitas, serta konfirmabilitas, kemudian di analisis menggunakan analisis data tunggal dan analisis lintas situs.

Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Model pendidikan karakter sopan santun diterapkan melaui kurikulum, parenting, hizbul wathan dan gugus sanggam. (2) Implementasi pendidikan karakter sopan santun diterapkan melalui membaca buku pilar, bercerita dengan alat peraga/media, dan akting. (3) Strategi pendidikan karakter sopan santun diterapkan melalui kegiatan rutin, kegiatan spontan, pembiasaan dan keteladanan. (4) Karaker yang dikembangkan dalam pendidikan karaktaer sopan santun: pengulangan kata terimakasih, maaf, tolong, permisi dan berbicara dengan suara yang ramah/lembut. Saran bagi Orang tua untuk berperan aktif dalam mendukung program sekolah melalui kegiatan parenting sebagai urat sambung dari program pendidikan lembaganya, kemudian bagi Kepala TK/PAUD untuk mempertahankan program pendidikan karakter sopan santun tersebut sebagai lembaga percontohan yang patut ditiru oleh lembaga disekitanya, dan bagi Pendidik sebagai role model bagi pendidik lainnya dalam memberikan contoh teladan pendidik yang berkarakter sopan santun, serta bagi Peneliti lainnya untuk memperkaya referensi terkait pendidikan karakter sopan santun.

The formation of polite character for children as early as possible is very important for the establishment of the initial foundation on the child's character, forming good habits for children from an early age, avoiding problematic children's personalities in the future, and making children friendly, civilized and adaptable. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) polite character education models, (2) implementation of polite character education, (3) polite character education strategies, (4) polite characters developed in early childhood education institutions.

The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a multi-site design, data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of research data consisted of the head of TK/PAUD, educators and parents of children. The research location is in Kindergarten Aisyiyah 1 Kandangan and State Integrated PAUD Pembina Juai Balangan. The collected data was examined and data reduction, data presentation, and data verification were carried out. Checking the validity of the data using credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability, then analyzed using single data analysis and cross-site analysis.

The results of this study are: (1) The polite character education model is applied through curriculum, parenting, hizbul wathan and sanggam clusters. (2) The implementation of polite character education is implemented through reading pillar books, telling stories with props/media, and acting. (3) Politeness character education strategies are implemented through routine activities, spontaneous activities, habituation and example. (4) Characters developed in polite character education: repetition of the words thank you, sorry, please, excuse me and speak in a friendly/soft voice. Suggestions for parents to play an active role in supporting school programs through parenting activities as a link to their institution's educational program, then for the Head of Kindergarten/PAUD to maintain the polite character education program as a model institution that should be imitated by surrounding institutions, and for educators as role models for other educators in providing examples of educators with polite character, as well as for other researchers to enrich references related to polite character education.
