ABSTRACT. Sebangau National Park is a national park in Central Kalimantan which is famous for its peat swamp forest area. This area has an important function for living things. Based on its natural conditions, the Sebangau peat swamp forest is an area that protects various types of flora and fauna. Studying the composition and structure of vegetation types in this location is one way to gain good knowledge about the various types of flora that can grow in forest areas. This study aims to analyze the composition and structure as well as the diversity of types of peat swamp forest vegetation in the Habaring Hurung Resort. The method used in the study used a combination method (Kusmana, 1997) with a total area of ??0.6 ha in 3 lanes. The results of the observations showed that the total composition of the Sebangau National Park Peat Swamp Forest, Habaring Hurung Resort got 42 types of vegetation in 26 families. Vegetation structure based on important value index (IVI), that Hangkang (Palaquium leiocarpum) and Guava (Syzygium sp.) are the most common species in the study area and have a high IVI compared to other species. The index of diversity of vegetation types at each growth level is with moderate criteria.

ABSTRAK. Taman Nasional Sebangau adalah taman nasional yang berada di Kalimantan Tengah yang terkenal dengan kawasan hutan rawa gambut. Kawasan ini mempunyai fungsi penting bagi makhluk hidup. Berdasarkan kondisi alamnya, hutan rawa gambut Sebangau adalah kawasan yang melindungi berbagai jenis flora dan fauna. Mempelajari komposisi dan struktur jenis vegetasi pada lokasi ini adalah salah satu cara untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan yang baik tentang berbagai jenis flora yang mampu tumbuh pada kawasan hutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan yaitu menganalisis komposisi dan struktur serta keanekaragaman jenis vegetasi hutan rawa gambut di Resort Habaring Hurung. Cara yang dilakukan dalam penelitian menggunakan metode kombinasi (Kusmana, 1997) dengan luas total adalah 0,6 ha dalam 3 jalur. Hasil pengamatan menunjukan jumlah komposisi di Hutan Rawa Gambut TN Sebangau, Resort Habaring Hurung mendapat 42 jenis vegetasi yang ada pada 26 famili. Struktur vegetasi berdasarkan indeks nilai penting (INP), bahwa jenis Hangkang (Palaquium leiocarpum) dan Jambu-jambu (Syzygium sp.) merupakan jenis yang banyak terdapat di kawasan penelitian dan mempunyai INP tinggi di banding jenis lainnya. Indeks keanekaragaman jenis vegetasi pada setiap tingkat pertumbuhan yaitu dengan kriteria sedang.
