Reading is a skill that is known to be quite difficult to learn. This causes many teaching staff to try to find methods and approaches that can improve students' reading skills, one of which is the Bingo game. This study attempts to find out a difference in student's reading comprehension achievement of those who were taught using Bingo words and those taught without Bingo words.
       The method used in this study was quasi-experimental design. It used one group as control class and another group as experimental class. The population of the research were the second grade students of SMPN 1 Tanjung. The sample of this research were VIII-E as control class consist21 students. Meanwhile, VIII-F as experimental class consist 23 students. The technique of analyzing data was applied in this research is quantitative. The tests were given to the students in the form of pre-test and post-test.
       From the results of the study, it showed that the students’mean score of pre-test in experimental class which is 62,61 was higher than students’ pre-test score in control class which is 52,38. The students’ mean score of post-test in experiment class (76,52) was higher than students’ mean score of post-test in control class (60,00). The result of independent t-test value shows that p value is 0.042. The t-value was 2.093 was higher than criritcal value of t-table 2.019. It means that there was a significant difference on the student’s reading comprehension achievement those who taught by using bingo words andwithout bingo words.
        The suggestions were given based on the results of the study. The first one is that the students need to enrich theirreading comprehension mastery and increase their interest to learn reading comprehension. It is hoped encourage the teacher to consider bingo words as way in teaching reading comprehension. So other researchers can analyze other aspects in reading comprehension or other skills in English language and the result of this study may be used as early information to conduct further researches.
