ABSTRACT

The diverse patterns and consumption behaviours of people, including the awareness on the importance of food for health, have made an added value to the cultivation of Butternut pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata Duchesne). Optimalization of the factors that support the growth of the plant can be done with the aplication of fertilizer. A distinctive texture of goat manure could affect the decomposition and the supply of nutrient, so that the composting is needed. Trichoderma sp used as decomposer and make the nutrients available to the plants. In that case, the aplication of Trichocompost is an option. This study aims to determine the effect of trichocompost aplications and the best dose of its aplications to the growth of Butternut pumpkin. This research was conducted in South Loktabat, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan.  The research was carried out for 3 months starting from January to March 2022. The one factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) is used with the dose of trichocompost aplication as the factor. The results of this study showed that the aplication of trichocompost had an effect on the length of stem (10 tha-1), number of leaves (10 tha-1), and stem diameter (7,5 tha-1) on the growth of Butternut pumpkin. Therefore, the dose of 7,5 tha-1 is the best dose of the trichocompost.

Keberagaman pola dan perilaku konsumsi masyarakat, termasuk kesadaran akan pentingnya pangan bagi kesehatan, menjadi nilai tambah bagi budidaya labu madu (Cucurbita moschata Duchesne). Optimalisasi faktor-faktor yang mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian pupuk. Tekstur kotoran kambing yang khas dapat mempengaruhi penguraian dan penyediaan unsur hara, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengomposan. Trichoderma sp digunakan sebagai dekomposer dan membuat nutrisi tersedia bagi tanaman. Dalam hal ini, pengaplikasiantrichokomposmenjadi pilihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi trichokompos dan dosis terbaik aplikasinya terhadap pertumbuhan labu madu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Loktabat Selatan, Kota Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dimulai dari bulan Januari sampai Maret 2022. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor digunakan dengan dosis aplikasi trikokompos sebagai faktornya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi trikokompos berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan panjang batang (10 tha^-1), jumlah daun (10 tha^-1), dan diameter batang (7,5 tha^-1). dari labu madu. Oleh karena itu, dosis 7,5 tha^-1 merupakan dosis terbaik dari trichokompos.
