The cayenne pepper plant (Capsicum frutescens L.) is one of the vegetable commodities that has high economic value. One of the local varieties of south Kalimantan is hiyung chili. This plant grows in Hiyung Village, Central Tapin District, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan. This study aims to determine the effect of onion skin bath on germination, as well as the concentration of the best onion skin marinade on the growth of hiyung chili seeds. This research was conducted at the Integrated Laboratory of the Department of Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Building 3, 2nd Floor, Lambung Mangkurat 

University, Banjarbaru and the Backyard of the Researcher's House from August 2022 - September 2022. This study used a two-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method consisting of 5 treatments and 4 repetitions to obtain 20 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of five (5) treatments so that a total of 30 seeds per experimental unit. In addition, the provision of onion skin marinade has been proven to be able to increase the germination of Hiyung chili seeds by 22.5% from without giving onion skin marinade. The best concentration of onion skin bath (Allium cepa L.) against the germination of hiyung chili peppers (Capsicum frutescens L.) was found in the P3 treatment with a concentration of 25% or 25 g/100 ml air with an average yield of 79.17%.
