ABSTRACT

The title of this study is "The Effect of Utilizing the Poor Student Aid Fund (BSM) on Student Motivation Students in Banjarmasin Public Middle School 4". This study aims to determine the effect of the Utilization of Poor Student Assistance Funds (BSM) on Student Motivation in Learning Class VII & VIII Students in Banjarmasin Public Middle School 4.

In this research method using quantitative descriptive methods. The population used in this study were all students of class VII & VIII BSM recipients at Banjarmasin State Junior High School 4, which were 88 students, because the sampling technique used was full samples, the samples were taken by the entire population. The technique of collecting data uses questionnaires and document studies. The data analysis technique uses percentage analysis and product moment correlation.

The results of the research conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Banjarmasin show that the rxy value calculated is -0.028. It is known that the rxy value is not included in the range of values ??provided in the interpretation table of the r value because the results are negative. The results of rxy are compared with the price of r table 5% and r table 1% is 0.1776> -0.028 <0.2348 proving that there is no effect on the utilization of BSM funds on student motivation in Banjarmasin Public Middle 4.

Judul penelitian ini adalah “Pengaruh Pemanfaatan  Dana Bantuan Siswa Miskin (BSM) Terhadap Motivasi Siswa Belajar Siswa Di SMP Negeri 4 Banjarmasin“. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Pemanfaatan Dana Bantuan Siswa Miskin (BSM) Terhadap Motivasi Siswa Belajar Siswa Di SMP Negeri 4 Banjarmasin.

Dalam metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa penerima BSM kelas VII &VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Banjarmasin yaitu 88 siswa, karena  teknik pengambilan sampel  menggunakan sampel penuh maka sampel yang diambil seluruh populasi. Teknik penggumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan studi dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis persentase dan korelasi product moment.

Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan di SMP Negeri 4 Banjarmasin menunjukkan bahwa nilai r_xy hasil perhitungan adalah -0,028 diketahui bahwa nilai r_xy tidak termasuk dalam rentang nilai yang disediakan pada tabel interpretasi nilai r karena hasilnya negatif. Hasil r_xy  dibandingkan dengan harga r _tabel 5% dan r _tabel 1% adalah 0,1776> -0,028< 0,2348 membuktikan tidak ada pengaruh pemanfaatan dana BSM terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 4 Banjarmasin.
