ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tentang karakteristik kelimpahan gastropoda daerah berpasir dan berlumpur yang ada pada Kecamatan Pulau Laut barat. Metode yang digunakan diantaranya kelimpahan, indeks keanekaragaman, dan Uji t. Pada pengamatan di perairan Teluk Tamiang, ditemukan Gastropoda sebanyak 187 individu. Stasiun I dengan substrat berpasir menemukan 46 individu, sedangkan stasiun II dengan substrat pasir berlumpur menemukan 141 individu. Kelimpahan Gastropoda adalah 0,46 di stasiun I dan 1,41 di stasiun II. Keanekaragaman tingkat sedang, serta hasil uji T menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara jenis Gastropoda di stasiun I dan stasiun II. Pada stasiun I, substrat pasir dan pasang surut mempengaruhi jumlah Gastropoda yang lebih sedikit. Di stasiun II, substrat pasir berlumpur dan kondisi mangrove yang baik mempengaruhi jumlah Gastropoda yang lebih banyak. Dengan demikian, sedimen dengan substrat pasir berlumpur berpengaruh lebih besar terhadap kelimpahan Gastropoda di perairan Teluk Tamiang, Kabupaten Kotabaru, Kalimantan Selatan.

ABSTRACT

This research was conducted to find out about the characteristics of the abundance of gastropods in sandy and muddy areas in Pulau Laut Barat District. The methods used include abundance, diversity index, and t test. During observations in the waters of Tamiang Bay, 187 Gastropods were found. Station I with a sandy substrate found 46 individuals, while station II with a muddy sand substrate found 141 individuals. Gastropod abundance was 0.46 at station I and 1.41 at station II. Moderate level of diversity, as well as the results of the T test showed significant differences between types of Gastropods at station I and station II. At station I, sand and tidal substrates affect the number of Gastropods that are less. At station II, the muddy sand substrate and good mangrove conditions affected the greater number of gastropods. Thus, sediments with muddy sand substrates have a greater effect on the abundance of gastropods Tamiang Bay, Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan.
