ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui produksi biomassa hijauan pakan ternak pada blok sawit dan mengetahui produktivitas hijauanpada umur tanam sawit yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistik dan deskriptif, penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode survei dan penentuan titik sampling dengan pelemparan kuadran pada lima titik sampling (empat titik disetiap sudut blok dan satu titik ditengah blok).  Terdapat beberapa 27 jenis hijauan tetapi yang diuji yaitu Paspalum conjugatum, Brachiaria mutica, dan Nephrolepis biserrata.  Setiap Peubah yang diamati yaitu berat segar, berat kering, bahan kering dan kadar air hijauan.  Perbedaan pada dua blok sawit dengan umur tanam berbeda menunjukan bahwa berat segar, berat kering, bahan kering blok L9 dan blok L11 memiliki perbedaan sangat nyata, dan kadar air blok L9 dan blok L11 tidak berpengaruh nyata.

ABSTRACT

              This study aims to determine the production of forage biomass for animal feed in oil palm blocks and to determine the productivity of forage at different planting ages of oil palm. This study used statistical and descriptive analysis, this research was conducted using a survey method and determining the sampling points by throwing quadrants at five sampling points (four points in each corner of the block and one point in the middle of the block). There are 27 types of forages but those tested were Paspalum conjugatum, Brachiaria mutica, and Nephrolepis biserrata. Each variable observed was fresh weight, dry weight, dry matter and forage moisture content. The difference in the two oil palm blocks with different planting ages showed that the fresh weight, dry weight, dry matter of blocks L9 and block L11 had very significant differences, and the water content of blocks L9 and block L11 had no significant effect.
