The development of technology nowadays facilitates the students to learn English more accessible and funnier. The 21st-century learners are familiar with many kinds of technology. Video is one of the technologies that can be used as a teaching medium. The researcher is interested in teaching media and speaking; basedon researcher experiences when the researchertook the speaking class in the third semester, the final project for thce speaking class was a video project, and at that time, the researcher. Still, theresearcher didn't know the students' otherperceptions about the video project.

The purpose of this research was to find out the students' perceptions in the video project in learning speaking. This research used quantitative survey research. The population of this research was the third semester students of listening and speaking for general communications class English Language Education Lambung Mangkurat University. 

In this research, the researcher took the sample by using simple random sampling technique. So, the total of sample of this research was 53 students from the total number of populations. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires and interviews. The researcher gave 33 items of statement which divided into three parts. The first part is about the students’ learning and teaching process in thelistening and speaking for general communication class. The second is about the process of creating the video project. The last is about the student’s perceptions on the video project. Based on the result of the research, it was found that the students’ perception toward the use of video-project in learning speaking are in the strongly positive category. Their perceptions of the video projects can give them the motivation to learn English better by watching the video project. The researcher concluded that the students' perceptions in the video project in learning speaking of listening and speaking for general communications class English Language Education Lambung Mangkurat University are positive perceptions.
