The speech act, involves a speaker and a listener or a writer and a reader discussing a topic. Speech acts refer to the functional units of communication, where language is not only used to convey information but also to perform actions. These three types of speech are locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary. Furthermore, there are five specific categorize in illocutionary speech act; representatives, directives, commisives, expressives and declarations. Hence, this paper aims to analyse the speech act that are found in short movie that focus on actor utterances. The short movie entitled “SEDEKAHMU Tabungan Akhiratmu” was directed and published by Andi Mamo on Andi Mamo Youtube Channel. This study using the utterances that spoken by the actor will be studied as the research data. From the data collected, there are 35 utterances uttered by each actor in the short movie. There are 8 utterances on locutionary, 13 utterances on illocutionary, and 3 utterances on perlocutionary.
