ABSTRACT

Banana plantlets can be obtained using the tissue culture method, which has the main advantages of higher multiplication rates and better phytosanitary quality than traditional techniques (Ortas et al., 2017). Banana plantlets can be acclimatized up to 52 days or even more using a hydroponic system. According to Muliawati et al (2017) hydroponic techniques using steamed husk substrates are sufficient for acclimatization of banana plantlets as indicated by good number of roots, root length, plant height, number of leaves, and wet weight. Hydroponic cultivation usually uses a standard hydroponic solution such as AB Mix which contains macro and micro nutrients to meet the nutritional needs of plantlets (Andrayani, 2020). The purpose of this study was to determine and compare the concentration of AB Mix in acclimatization materials. Based on the results of the study showed that the concentration of AB mix 800 ppm can increase the growth factor of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and leaf width. AB mix concentration of 1000 ppm can increase wet weight and root length.
