The aim of this study is to analyze the types of presupposition in the characters’ utterances in The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring movie script and describe the meaning of presupposition found in the movie script. The data was taken from the utterances of characters in the movie. The writer choose the theory of presupposition by Yule (2010) to analyze the data. The writer discovered that there were six types of presupposition used in The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring movie script which are 120 existential presupposition, 62 structural presupposition, 16 factive presupposition, 3 non-factive presupposition, 2 lexical presupposition, and 1 counterfactual presupposition. Existential presupposition becomes the most used presupposition which appeared in 120 utterances in this movie script.
