Teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan yang terus berkembang, turut diiringi dengn jenis kejahatan yang ikut berkembang. Kegiatan prostitusi yang sebelumnya dilakukan secara tatap muka kini beralih menggunakan media sosial michat sebagai sarana komuniaksi transaksinya karena dianggap lebih efisien. Tujuanpenelitianini,mengetahuipolakomunikasi prostitusi oline   melalui media aplikasi michat danjuga faktorapa yangpendukungdan penghambat pada  komunikasi prostitusi online aplikasi di Tanah Bumbu.

Metode yang digunakan dalampenelitian iniadalah kualitatifdengan tipe penelitiandeskriptif.Menggunakantigateknikpengumpulandatapenelitian,yakni observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek terdiri dari enam meliputi 2 informan kunci pekerja seks , 3 informan pendukung pengguna jasa prostitusi online

Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pola komunikasi yang sering digunakan adalah pola komunikasi sekunder dan pola komunikasi sirkular. Faktor pendukungdariproseskomunikasiaplikasi michat antara pskpengguna jasaadalah adanyaalatkomunikasiyaitutelepon,adanyateleponuntukberkomunikasi melalui telepon melalui aplikasi michat, dan adanya. Sedangkan faktor penghambatyangmempengaruhiproseskomunikasipadapskdan konsumen seperti hambatan mekanik dan hambatan semantic.

Technology and science that continue to develop, are accompanied by the accompaniment of types of crime that are also developing. Prostitution activities that were previously carried out face-to-face are now switching to using social media michat as a means of communicating transactions because they are considered more efficient. The purpose of this research is to find out the communication patterns of online prostitution through the michat application media and also what factors support and hinder the communication of online prostitution applications in Tanah Bumbu.

The method used in this research is qualitative with descriptive research type. Using three research data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects consisted of six including 2 sex worker key informants, 3 informants supporting online prostitution user services

The results of the study concluded that the most frequently used communication patterns were secondary communication patterns and circular communication patterns. Supporting factors for the communication process of the mihat application between service users are the existence of a communication device, namely the telephone, the existence of a telephone to communicate by telephone through the mihat application, and the existence of a telephone. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors that affect the communication process between sex workers and consumers are mechanical barriers and semantic barriers.
