THE INFLUENCE OF USE OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM SCOPE APPLICATION ON STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN SOLAR SYSTEM SUB-MATERIAL CLASS VII SMPN 24 BANJARMASIN (By: Desvia Alya Putri Julia Wardanis, Advisor: Sauqina, Mella Mutika Sari, 2023; 180 pages) ABSTRACT This research was conducted to examine the influence of using the Solar System Scope Application on students' learning participation in the Solar System sub-material for class VII SMP Negeri 24 Banjarmasin. The research method used in this research is quasi-experimental research with a Non-Equivalent Control Group research design. The population in this study were all class VII students at SMP Negri 24 Banjarmasin, while the sample for this research was classes VIIG and VIIH, totaling 34, selected using a purposive sampling technique for certain reasons and categories. The data collection techniques used in this research were tests and observations. Hypothesis testing in this study used the ANCOVA test, the results obtained were a significance value of 0.020 < 0.05 and tcount 5.707 > ttable 3.99, meaning that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. The conclusion of this research is that the application of the solar system scope has an effect on the learning participation of students in the medium category. The magnitude of the influence is carried out using the effect size test. Keywords: Solar system scope application, learning participation, solar system material, ANCOVA analysis.
