Vegetables are plants that are very commonly consumed by humans as a source of vitamins, minerals or other things. One of the popular vegetables is mustard greens. The mustard plant (Brassica juncea L.) is a vegetable plant that is very popular, including in Indonesia. Therefore, there are many ways or methods used to increase the production of mustard plants. One cultivation technique that can be used is the mustard greens cultivation technique, namely harvesting at a young age. Microgreens can be maximized by increasing the planting medium in the form of compost. One of the waste materials that can be used as the main ingredient for making compost is oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB). In the process of composting oil palm  empty  fruit bunches, livestock manure is required. Livestock manure from different types of animals also has different nutrient content. This research aims to determine the effect of empty palm fruit bunch compost media and the best type of empty palm fruit bunch compost media on the growth of mustard greens. This research was carried out for 2 weeks from 14 November to 27 November 2023 at the Tanah Bumbu Student Dormitory Jalan Panglima Batur Gang Pinus 2 Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. This research used a single factor completely randomized design (RAL) method consisting of 4 levels, namely k₀ (OPEFB compost without additions), k₁ (OPEFB compost + chicken manure), k₂ (OPEFB compost + cow manure) and k₃ (compost OPEFB + goat manure) which was repeated 5 times, so that 20 experimental units were obtained. The results of this research show that there is an effect of OPEFB compost media on the growth of mustard greens and the type of OPEFB compost media that shows the best results on the growth of microgreens height and fresh weight of mustard greens is planting media with k0 treatment, namely empty oil palm fruit bunch compost without the addition of livestock manure.
