This study is aimed at find out what kind of difficulties that faced by the subject and also how do they overcome their difficulties in speaking podcast projects. The research was conducted on speaking class, English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Arts at Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarmasin. 

The participants in the research are five students with the highest score who have finished podcast project in speaking class in the English Language Education Program. The data was collected from five different subjects on 25-27 May 2023. The researcher used a voice recorder and also conducted an open-ended interview as an instrument to find students’ experiences about difficulties they had and how they overcome that.

The findings of this research are the difficulties faced by students in a speaking class, particularly in the podcast project. The research findings emphasize pronunciation, grammar, fluency, and vocabulary as the main areas of struggle. However, through their experiences, the subjects were able to overcome these challenges by employing strategies such as self-assessment, practicing with friends, taking every opportunity to speak, and utilizing various resources. These findings provide valuable insights for both educators and students in improving speaking skills in language learning.
