Learning English is considered as one of the essential things to do nowadays. The importance of learning English even makes the government put English as the foreign language which should be taught in school. Moreover, the core of learning English is to have the ability to transfer the messages from the source language into the target language. Transferring the messages from the source language to the target language means that the students able to find the appropriate equivalence and construct that in the target language. However, it is not an easy thing to do. The difference grammatical rules between Indonesian language and English causes obstacles for some students. This research applied qualitative research approach using literature review as instrument to collect the data. The data were taken from books, journals, and researches which relevant to the issue. Based on the data that researcher collected using the literature review, the researcher found that students mostly make errors related with omission, addition, misformation and misordering when translating from Indonesian language into English. As the challenge students face often stem from the intricate interplay of language and culture. Adressing errors involves continouous practice, feedback and on going commitment to improve language skills.
