Objective:Analyzing the effect of Mauli banana stem extract (Musa acuminata) with Ca(OH)2 on the number of pulp neutrophil cells as pulp capping material on the 1st and 3rd days; fibroblast cells on 3rd day and 7th day.

MaterialandMethods:This research is true experimental with post-test only control group design. This research was to determine the number of neutrophil cells on the 1st and 3rd days; fibroblast cells on 3rd day and 7th dayafter being given a combination of Ca(OH)2 and MASE at concentrations of 37.5% and 50%

Results: The results of the Two-Way ANOVA test showed that there was a significant effect group based on treatment and day (p<0,05). Data analysis was continued with the Post-Hoc Bonferroni test (p<0,05) which showed that there were significant differences between groups between each treatment.

Conclusion: The combination of MASE 50%+Ca(OH)2 has a better ability to accelerate the healing process of dental pulp inflammation in neutrophil cells and fibroblast cells so that this combination has potential as a direct pulp capping material.
