Penelitian ini mengkaji proses kreatif penyair Arsyad Indradi dalam menciptakan puisi dengan menggunakan teori psikologi sastra. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini yaitu (1) bagaimana riwayat proses kreatif yang dilakukan Arsyad Indradi,hal ini membahas latar belakang, masa lalu, pengalaman, obesesi, cita-cita dan pandangan hidup. Ini harus dilakukan sebagai bahan pembahasan yang mendasari proses kreatif Arsyad Indradi dalam menciptakan puisi nanti. (2) Bagaimana pandangan Arsyad Indradi tentang proses Kreatifnya ketika menghasilkan karya sastra seperti puisi. Dengan melihat dari sudut pandang si penyair, peneliti dapat menemukan sisi sastra yang belum ditemukan oleh pembaca awam.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan ekspresif. Pendekatan ekspresif memfokuskan perhatian sebuah karya dari sisi pengarangnya. Sumber data penelitian ini diambil dari hasil wawancara dan dokumentasi karya serta informasi yang mendukung proses kreatif Arsyad Indradi.

Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, proses kreatif puisi-puisi Arsyad Indradi melalu proses yang tidak instan. Pengalaman dan riwayat hidupnya sejak ia kecil hingga tumbuh menjadi seorang penyair memiliki pengaruh besar dalam tahapan proses kreatif-nya dalam proses menjadi seorang penyair. Dalam proses kreatif Arsyad Indradi melewati tiga fase penting yang ia alami dalam hidupnya, yaitu (1) Pra-Kepenyairan (1949-1970), (2) proses menjadi penyair (1970-2006), dan (3) setelah menjadi seorang penyair nasional (2007-sekarang). Kedua, Arsyad Indradi memandang proses kreatif yang dilakukannya adalah sebuah proses asosiasi dan sublimasi pengalaman hidupnya selama ini. setiap pengalaman berharga menjadi dasar proses kreatifnya dalam menciptakan puisi. Setiap tema yang dipilih, diksi yang dibangun, dan metafora yang dibentuk memiliki koherensi yang mendalam antara satu dengan yang lain. Proses kreatif puisi Arsyad Indradi juga memperlihatkan pola yang sama dengan mekanisme mimpi, yaitu setiap pengalaman dalam hidup baik tersimpan secara sadar maupun tidak sadar diasosiasikan dan disublimasikan ke dalam kata-kata puitis yang indah.

This study examines the creative process of the poet Arsyad Indradi in creating poems using psychological theory literature. Formulation of the problem of this study are (1) how the history of the creative process undertaken Arsyad Indradi, it discusses the background, past experiences, obsession, ideals and outlook on life. This should be done as a discussion of the underlying creative process in creating poetry Arsyad Indradi later. (2) How do Arsyad Indradi about his creative process when producing works of literature such as poetry. By looking from the point of view of the poet, the researcher can find the literature that have not been discovered by the lay reader.

This research is qualitative. The approach used in this study is the expressive approach. An expressive approach focuses attention on the work of the author. The data source of this research is taken from interviews and documentation as well as information that supports the work of the creative process Arsyad Indradi.

The results obtained are as follows. First, the creative process Arsyad Indradi poems through the process is not instant. Experience and a history of his life since his childhood to grow up to be a poet has a great influence in his creative process steps in the process of becoming a poet. In Arsyad Indradi creative process through three important phases which he experienced in his life, namely (1) Pre-Authorship (1949-1970), (2) the process of becoming a poet (1970-2006), and (3) after becoming a famous poet (2007-present). Secondly, Arsyad Indradi see the creative process is a process that does sublimation association and one's life experiences. any valuable experience to base their creative process in creating poetry. Each theme is selected, built diction, and metaphors that have formed a deep coherence with each other. The creative process of poetry Arsyad Indradi also showed a similar pattern with the dream mechanisms, ie every experience in life saved either consciously or unconsciously associate and sublimated into the poetic words are beautiful.
