Analysis Of Mangrove Forest Wood Plant Species in Pagatan Besar Village, Takisung District, South Kalimantan

ABSTRACT.The purpose of this study was to analyze the diversity and dominance of mangrove forest vegetation found in Pagatan Besar Village, Takisung District, South Kalimantan. The method used in this study used the striped method (combination of transect and plot methods) through inventory in the field and analyzed using important value index (INP) and diversity index. Based on the results of the study obtained 4 types of mangroves, namely fire, mangrove, rice rambai, and rambai bogam in natural forests and in the planting forest found 2 types of mangroves namely fire and mangrove, the highest INP value in the seedling phase of planting was 167% and at tree phase of natural forest 259%. The dominance index value obtained from the tree phase on 0.86 criteria of high natural debt and the highest diversity index in the stake phase of the 1.00 forest planting criteria is low. The diversity of mangrove types in Desa Pagatan Besar is relatively low due to the high level of dominance of fire-fire mangroves.

ABSTRACT. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengganalisis Keragaman dan Dominansi vegetasi hutan mangrove yang terdapat di Desa Pagatan Besar Kecamatan Takisung Kalimantan Selatan. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode jalur berpetak (kombinasi metode transek dan plot) melalui inventarisasi di lapangan dan dianalisis menggunakan indeks nilai penting (INP) dan indeks keragaman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh 4 jenis mangrove yaitu api-api, bakau, rambai padi, dan rambai bogam pada hutan alam dan pada hutan tanam ditemukan 2 jenis mangrove yaitu api-api dan bakau , nilai INP tertinggi pada fase semai hutan tanam 167% dan pada fase pohon hutan alam 259%. Nilai indeks dominansi diproleh dari fase pohon pada hutang alam 0,86 kriteria tinggi dan indek keragaman tertinggi pada fase pancang hutan tanam 1,00 kriteria rendah. Keragaman jenis mangrove Desa Pagatan Besar tergolong rendah dikarenakan tingkat nilai dominansi jenis mangrove api-api yang tinggi.
