The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pouring temperature and pattern thickness onthe fluidity, microstructure, andporosity of the castings product. Thecasting methodused is the evaporativecasting method. The materialused is Al-14.69% Si alloy (recycled) from Yamaha Xeon RC 125 matic engine block material with a melting furnace that is used as a type of crusible furnace. Al alloys are melted in the furnaceuntil they melt. Then pour intothe mold with a temperature variation of 650oC, 675oC, 700oC, 725oC, and 750oC then poured on each mold pattern thicknessof 2 mm,3 mmand 4 mm. The test results show that: (1) The higher the pouringtemperature and the greater the thickness of the pattern, the more fluidity produced will be. (2) The test results on themicrostructure show thatthe increasing temperature ofthe Si Hypereutectic phase structure is present between Al dendrite from long and thick debris to short and thin flakes. (3) Thehigherthe pouring temperaturethelower the porosity produced.
