            Technology has the importance role in teaching and learning, one of practical learning use right now is E-learning, mainly use as the alternative for student to understanding the material. This research is aimed to describe and to find out how the use of e-learning in teaching English class.

The researcher used descriptive qualitative method. The subject of the research is the English lecturer who taught the Critical Thinking Skill class. Observation and Interview are used as the Instruments. To analyze the data divided into identification, summarize, describe, conclusions and suggestions.

            The results showed the class integrated the e-learning based online and the lecturer confirmed the e-learning as the enrichment and reinforcement for students to self directed learning. The e-learning used in the form of web namely SIMARI. The lecturer fulfilling the class with presentation and discussion and SIMARI took roles in shared material and assignment.

It is suggested for the lecturer to develop the competence of using e-learning, mostly important is the lecturer also improves how to use of technology. Meanwhile,  English department suggested to often hold the workshop about e-learning for the English lecturer or delivered the lecturer to join the workshop or training outside.
