Jalan Diponegoro merupakan jalan festival dan mempunyai koridor jalan, tetapi koridor tersebut tidak mempunyai ruang yang mendukung aktivitas festival, atau aktivitas sosial lainnya. Perancangan Koridor Jalan Diponegoro merupakan ruang publik yang mempunyai fungsi sebagai ruang sosial, dan ruang budaya Pontianak (Melayu, Dayak, dan Tionghoa). Tujuan tersebut dicapai dengan menerapkan konsep “The Canopy City” yang memanfaatkan metode “How to Create a Node” dengan tahapan yaitu Create a Gateway, Delevop a Center, dan Thicken the Edge yang dimana tahapan tersebut menjadikan aktivitas ruko sekitar menjadi acuan rancangan. Konsep “The Canopy City” sebuah koridor yang mewadahi berbagai macam fungsi (Ruang Budaya, Ruang Festival, Ruang Jalan, Ruang Sosial dan Ruang Ekonomi).

Diponegoro Street is a festival road and has a road corridor, but the corridor does not have space to support festival activities, or other social activities. Corridor Design Diponegoro Street is a public space that has a function as a social space, and Pontianak cultural space (Malay, Dayak, and Chinese). The goal is achieved by applying the concept of "The Canopy City" which utilizes the method "How to Create a Node" with the stages, namely Create a Gateway, Delevop a Center, and Thicken the Edge, where these steps make shop houses around a design reference. The "The Canopy City" concept is a corridor that accommodates a variety of functions (Cultural Room, Festival Room, Street Room, Social Room and Economic Room).
