Language and teaching are two aspects that cannot be separated to achieve the objective of the lesson. Teaching is not only learning about content but also how to do the deliver linguistically through language. This research was conducted to figure out how the implementation of positive politeness strategies applied by the lecturers in teaching English at English Language Education Study Program of Universitas Lambung Mangkurat  is. This is descriptive qualitative research. The researcher described the implementation process of positive politeness strategies by the three lecturers of English Language Education Study Program of Universitas Lambung Mangkurat  as the subjects of the research. The researcher used Brown and Levinson’s politeness strategies theory where there are fifteen kinds of positive politeness strategies to analyze the data found. The finding of this research discovers that the implementation of positive politeness strategies by lecturers is relevant to the teaching phases (pre-activity, while-activity, post-activity). Positive politeness strategies were implemented by showing attention, repeating students answer, praising students, and showing gratitude to the students. Therefore, the researcher suggested that these positive politeness strategies will always be implemented due to several importances to make the delivery of teaching and learning process runs smoothly.
