            The researcher intends to conduct a research about the teaching techniques used in the English teaching of students at experiment class at pondok pesantren An-Najah Cindai Alus Martapura. This research attempts to describe the activities, techniques and efforts which are implemented by the school to develop students’ ability in English.

            This research uses descriptive method. The data analysis is made by using qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are the teacher who are teaching at pondok pesantren An-Najah , espesially female students at experiment class. The data were collected through interview and observation.

            Based on the data analysis, it is obtained that the teaching techniques used are based on the four basic skills (Listening, speaking, reading and writing). The teacher applies various techniques to support teaching and learning process.
