Reading is one of the skill in learning English and become one of skill that familiar with the students. In fact, students are lack of knowledge of vocabulary and taking much time in reading. This research is aimed to describe teaching process of teaching reading narrative text by using Picture and picture technique.

            The method of this research was experiment method. The population was 147 students and the sample was 59 students. The instrument were used in this research was observation sheets, pre-test, treatment and post-test. The observation sheets were used to measure teacher and students perform when teaching and learning process. The pre-test were used to measure students backround knowledge.

The result showed that the average score of students were improve after the teacher gives the treatment. Picture and Picture Technique was so effective.

            Based on the result, it is suggested to the teacher to used Picture and picture as the technique in teaching reading narrative text. It is also suggested to other researchers who want to conduct similar study in order to prepare it better and get a better result.
